They registered in 2006, and since then have grown in membership to twelve. After starting a waste collection business for income generation, and with contributions from each member, the group bought embroidery and sewing machines and have been offering training to youth from their community who want to establish businesses of their own. They have also used their waste collection business as a way to offer paid employment to youth from their community. The group is proud to say that despite the challenges they face with having enough equipment and the cost of electricity needed to run their businesses, most of their members are financially independent and stable, with a goal of taking their activities to a higher level of profitability so as to increase their impact in their community
