It's great that we're getting loans as opposed to donations. The obligation to pay back will ensure that we engage in projects that will eventually be self-sustaining and that's what we want.

In the low-income area of Eastlands, a group of unemployed young people with a shared passion for landscaping and gardening came together to form a group. They consider their love of gardening and their work not only to be income generating activities that beautify their neighbourhoods, but also an expression of their sense of spiritual connection to Nature. Their beautiful display gardens, small oases of green in their neighbourhood, are testaments to their dedication to their work. The group is working on launching a side business selling vegetable and herb plants to encourage people to grow their own organic food in the city.
